Virtual Orthodontic Consultation
We’re making orthodontic care more convenient than ever. With our virtual consultations, you can connect with Dr. Christopher Riolo from the comfort of your home. All it takes is a few simple photos of your smile and a scheduled video appointment. While virtual consultations can be a great option for busy families, teens, and adults who want to explore treatment without making an extra trip to the office; virtual appointments have limitations. In order to provide definitive treatment options and costs, in most circumstances an in person consultation is necessary in order to ascertain the details required to answer all your questions as thoroughly as possible.
Submitting your photos at least 48 hours before your appointment ensures that we have enough time to carefully review them in advance.
How it Works
1. Take Your Photos – Using a smartphone or digital camera, ask someone to help you capture five photos of your teeth and bite (see the guidelines below).
2. Send Them In – Upload your photos through our secure online form and let us know about any specific concerns you’d like addressed.
3. Meet Virtually – During your scheduled consultation, Dr. Riolo will review your photos, discuss possible treatment options, and answer your questions in real time.
How to Photograph Your Smile
For the best results, take your photos in a well-lit room while sitting in a comfortable position. Having someone else take the photos is highly recommended since certain angles can be tricky on your own. Here are the five photos we need:
Front view of your smile (teeth together, smiling naturally).
Right side view of your bite (teeth together).
Left side view of your bite (teeth together).
Upper arch (tilt your head back so the top teeth and palate are visible).
Lower arch (tilt your chin down so the bottom teeth are clearly visible).
